Native POP: People of the Plains - A Gathering of Arts and Culture is an annual celebration of Native American arts and culture at Main Street Square in downtown Rapid City, South Dakota every third weekend in July. Art, Performance, Culture, Community.



2018 Application for Native artists, makers and creators for the Sixth Annual Native POP: People of the Plains Native art market and cultural celebration in the heart of downtown Rapid City, South Dakota at Main Street Square. 


In accordance with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990, participation in the Native POP art show is only open to enrolled members of federally recognized tribes, with preference given to artists from Great Plains Tribes

  • Applications for 2019 can be found at this link. Application deadline is March 15, 2019.

  • Selected applicants will be notified by April 15, 2019

  • Booth fee for space in the Square due May 15, 2019 for final accepted artist registration deadline

  • Lunch and water provided

  • No commission will be taken of your sales

Artistic categories have been reinterpreted to reflect the cultures of the Great Plains and the way art functions for the people.

Friday night opening event and juried awards with $17,000 in prizes.
